Entertainment
Established in 1906 as a working men’s club, the Binfield Club situated in Forest Road, is now a village social club, offering live entertainment, pool table, football table, darts, fruit machines, juke box and wide screen TV.
Children\’s Play Areas
There are various play areas for younger children, including the ones at Foxley Fields, Silver Jubilee Fields, York Road, Farley Wood and Popes Meadow.
Facilities for older children, including adventure playgrounds, can be found at Foxley Fields, Wicks Green, York Road and Farley Wood.
Public Parks
Foxley Fields – Situated near the centre of the village on Benetfeld Road adjacent to Binfield Primary School. As it is often used by the school, dog walkers are asked to keep to the paths and keep their dogs on leads when using the park.
Foxley Fields is also the home to The Parish Office which has a useful map of the area outside the entrance plus its own small car park.
Wicks Green – Located on Stevenson Drive off Terrace Road North, this is one of the largest open spaces in Binfield. There is a Trim Trail around the perimeter as well as a Cableway and play areas for children of all ages.
Silver Jubilee Fields – This is an attractive grassed area with a number of unusual specimen trees planted to the north of the fields. It can be reached by foot from Wicks Green, or from the Stevenson Drive car park. Between Wicks Green and Jubilee Fields there is a shallow pond area and there is also a small fenced off play area for younger children.
York Road – No dogs are allowed on this area as it is used by the pre-school. There are swings, a Space Net and Go-Eight Skate for the older children.
Farley Wood – To the south of the Parish off Turnpike Road, can be found the Farley Wood Community Centre and park. Looked after by the Bracknell Forest Council, this is a large grassed area with football pitches, tennis courts and a small play area.
Popes Meadow – On St Marks Road, you can find Popes Meadow, with its own adjacent car parking area. It comprises of mainly grassed areas, suitable for dog walkers, a large pond and a small play area for younger children.
Leisure
On Foxley Fields there is an all-weather pitch complete with basketball hoops, integral cricket stumps and markings for games.
Golf
There are two 18 hole golf courses open to the public in the parish, one at Billingbear and one off Wood Lane in Popeswood.
Fishing
You can also buy day tickets to fish at Farleymoor balancing pond and there is also a trout fishery on Howe Lane.
Tennis/Football
There are three tennis courts situated by the school in Foxley Fields which are available for use by people who live and work in Binfield. There are also football pitches and tennis courts at Farley Wood.
